TSS Members Receiving ASM Fellow in 2023

In 1969, ASM established the Fellow of the Society honor to provide recognition to members for their distinguished contributions to materials science and engineering and to develop a broadly based forum of technical and professional leaders to serve as advisors to the society.  ASM will recognize the 2023 Class of Fellows at the Annual Awards Banquet held during IMAT’23, on Tuesday, October 17th, in Detroit, MI.  Tickets can be purchased with IMAT registration.

Dr. Armelle Vardelle honored with JTST’s Outstanding Service Award

Dr. Armelle Vardelle, FASM, TS HoF, recently retired Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Thermal Spray Technology (JTST), was honored with an Outstanding Service Award for her contributions to the journal. The award was presented at the International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition (ITSC), on May 23, 2023, in Quebec City, Canada, in recognition of her seven years of outstanding service as the Editor-in-Chief of JTST. Dr. Vincent Rat (left) accepts the award plaque on Armelle’s behalf from Dr. André McDonald, FASM, JTST’s current Editor-in-Chief (right).
