TSS Members Receiving ASM Fellow in 2024

In 1969, ASM established the Fellow of the Society honor to provide recognition to members for their distinguished contributions to materials science and engineering and to develop a broadly based forum of technical and professional leaders to serve as advisors to the society. ASM will recognize the 2024 Class of Fellows at the Annual Awards Banquet held during IMAT’24, on Tuesday, October 1st, in Cleveland, OH. Tickets can be purchased with IMAT registration.

Albert Sauveur Achievement Award Established in 1934 in honor of a distinguished teacher, metallographer, and metallurgist, recognizes pioneering materials science and engineering achievements that have stimulated organized work along similar lines to such an extent that a marked basic advance has been made in the knowledge of materials science and engineering.

Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Announces Revised Aims and Scope

The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology has recently revised the aims and scope of the journal. These revised aims and scope were developed by the editorial leadership team of the journal. Editor-in-Chief André McDonald announced in an editorial, “The aims and scope of the Journal of Thermal Spray Technology have been revised to reflect changes in the broader materials science, manufacturing, and surface technologies fields that have immediate impact on the development of coatings and their applications.”

Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Announces 2023 Best Paper Awards

The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology (JTST) is pleased to announce the winners of the JTST Volume 32 Best Paper Awards, as chosen by an international committee of expert judges. The awards were acknowledged during this year’s International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition, held April 29-May 1, 2024, in Milan, Italy.
